Guard your Eyegate and Eargate
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV
Guard your eyes and ears. If you allow seeds of discontent to be sown into you... they will take root and grow. At some point you won't be able to hide what has been planted. Those seeds are now full grown trees bearing fruit.
We've gotta be careful who we let deposit seeds into us. That's why we have to test what is trying to be deposited by the word of God. If we do not... we will have itchy ears and that opens us up and gives unfettered access to anyone depositing seeds because it fits how we feel at that moment
