26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
The image of God is the OPERATIONS of His Kingdom. He created man and female and the components that make up the man and woman represent His image... which are operations. The body is made of many different parts, but all have a role to play. Adam and Eve had a role to play, equally important but different. That is the operations. Then there is the order in which to maintain the operations of the body. There is a headship. For the human body, that physical headship of the physical body is the brain. And from the brain... all things work according to its unique purpose. The headship of the spiritual man is Jesus Christ!
We must always look at the word of God to determine how God designed something. It is spelled out in His word regarding everything. When we do not follow the operations and order He has spelled out... there will be dysfunction. Dysfunction leads to chaos and confusion. We know it is written that God is not the author of confusion. In every aspect of our lives, where there may be dysfunction and confusion... this means there is something we are part of or something we have initiated that is out of order with how God intended it to be. We have allowed the enemy to plant seeds in our mind that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. Those seeds grow as a person leans on his own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us not to lean on that but to trust God as He directs our path. The dysfunction leads to destruction. But before the destruction occurs it is precipitated by hopelessness, anxiety, distress and anxiousness. All of these things cause major catastrophies in the lives of people when they go unchecked. WHen you don't test what you are doing against the word of God which is the light... you are allowing seeds of discord in your mind to go unchecked. And it is written...
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he
Seeds of discord are essentially thoughts that attempt to disrupt what God intended in any given situation. If you embrace these seeds in your heart... then you will become what those seeds intended to do to your life. Proverbs 6:16-19 speaks of seeds of discord which God hates. These seeds come from spiritual wickedness. The wickedness attacks the mind of the person who chooses to lean on His own understanding instead of trusting God's word for direction. When we lean on our own understanding we are fully exposed and receive what the enemy is planting. We have removed ourselves from God's protective covering giving satan all-access to shape our thoughts. Ephesians 6:11-17 tells us how to protect ourselves from his fiery darts.
When you visit Revelation 4:5 you will see the operation and order in the Kingdom. God sits on the throne. This is the headship which has dominion over all of the parts. The parts have to be submissive to the headship for them to work correctly. When the headship decrees something... that declaration must be acted on otherwise it will lead to death for the one who has ignored the decree. This is what happens when we reject the knowledge of God (Hosea 4:6-7). His decree is His word. To reject it leads to death. The question we must always ask ourselves is this... what is my decision on any given matter and how does my decision line up with the word of God? If I refuse to honor the King's decree regarding that situation I face... then I will get the death penalty. The death penalty happens for anyone who disregards what the King decrees. When God declares something it is for our good. It may be unconformfatable at times, but it always works out.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
We must be obedient in every way to HIs word. Then we will come to understand that odebience gives us that expected now on the way to that expected end. The natural man does not want any parts of that expected end. The natural/carnal man is always trying to operate outside of the order of God as he leans on his own understanding and creates his own decrees that lead to his demise. Romans 8:6-7 lets us know that the natural man leaning on his natural understanding will never be able to please God. The natural man must surrender to God whom he does not see, so that He can receive the power of the Holy Ghost to take him to a place that was once out of sight... yet his eyes are now opened to things of the spirit (1 Corinthians 2:14). This is the rebirth Jesus speaks of. And you can only receive His spirit (John 14:26) when you repent of your sins, believe that He is the Son of God and accept what He did for us. He died for our sins and was raised 3 days later with all power. He ascended into Heaven and now He sits at the right hand of the Father. Invite Him in and He will change you from the inside out. Jesus sets order back to your life!
