Your Focus Determines How You View Your Life

You truly determine your level of happiness by what you choose to focus on. If I focus on what I think I don't have then I will be sad. But if I focus on what I do have then I have little time to be consumed with the other. God tells us contentment with Godliness is GREAT gain (1 Timothy 6:6-10). Here's why. When you do not worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:25-34)... but instead... focus on today, the decisions we make that are right before us should be made using the wisdom of God found in His word that will lead us in to tomorrow (Proverbs 3:5-6). The decisions with Him leading us right now in how we make those decisions will put us in position tomorrow to handle what comes our way. The same goes for what we choose to focus on. If I only focus on what I think I am lacking... I will never put to good use what I do have. It's only when I focus on what I have and put it to good use that gain shall find me and follow me. The truth of the matter is the enemy only wants us to focus on things that appear to be broken. But even what appears to be broken might just be a smokescreen manipulated by the enemy. Choose to focus on God and what you have right now... and He will give you direction on how to move forward. But our moving forward should not be to get rich. it is written that the LOVE/LUST of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 1:10).

If we seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33)... things will be added to us to be used in that day to do great things to help others as more things are added to us. Our focus should be on being a blessing to someone else. You have never seen an apple tree eat the fruit it bears. But when it bears fruit... others eat from that tree. and that tree keeps on bearing good apples. You are a tree and the fruit you bear is not for you...it's for others. You are able to bear fruit because your roots have been saturated with water and fertilizer that sparks the growth and keeps the fruit coming (John 15:4). You are being blessed in the process as well. A tree that is full on the inside has to release what it has to bear outwardly. You can not contain what God is doing on the inside of you. Remember that!
