Feelings Will Destroy You

The moment we operate in our feelings, we have given the enemy power over us. The enemy's game is to trick you into giving up your position over him. You have power right now, but if you allow your emotions/feelings to lead you... you will do things that feel good in the moment but cause you to miss your blessing long term. Feelings make many of us anxious to move in a direction. The scripture tells us to be not anxious about anything and in all situations pray with thanksgiving presenting your requests unto God (Philippians 4:6-7). When we do this, then we allow the Lord to direct our path (Proverbs 3:5-6). We are not responding with our feelings. We are now responding with God's wisdom. God does not withhold his wisdom and understanding from those who diligently seek him.

If you have not sought Godly counsel regarding your decisions but made that decision based on what you think you saw or how you feel, then what spirit is leading you (1 Corinthians 3:16)? In order to make sure we are not being misled, we should always take it to the Father first for him to reveal the truth (Matthew 6:33). And sometimes, the truth is not what we see. The truth could be that "I am the problem! How I processed what I see came from a place of insecurity that the enemy exploited. And what I saw was to help me grow in the spirit... but I chose to see it as something that was for my bad."

When you operate in your feelings, you are allowing carnal nature to lead you. And Romans 8:7 tells us "carnal nature is emnity against God for it can never please God." Remember, your soul is saved, but your flesh is not and will never be saved. Which ever you feed will be the one that leads you. The flesh will die and it wants to take your soul where it is going. You must keep it in subjection, not by your own strength... but by the Grace of God which is sufficient in your weakness. The grace is his power that he gives to us to overcome what we could not do on our own. He sends us something to dwell in us (John 14:26) but we have to be in a position to truly want what he will send.
