Stop Pursuing The Greater Works and Start Pursuing the Heart of God

John 14:11-13 King James Version (KJV)
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Jesus made it clear that "He that believeth on HIM will do greater works." In today's body of believers, Jesus is impressing upon all of us to get back to the basics before you try to do something more. We must all understand that any greater work that we do will not be done in our own strength. It will be the Holy Spirit doing it. Unfortunately, many people have become so caught up in their gifting that they have left their first love which is to be obedient to what Jesus says. We must love God with all our heart, body and soul (this is worship) and love thy neighbor. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 tells us what that love looks like. This is what it means to worship him in truth. We have to walk out the love that Paul was inspired to write down on paper. This love does not create stumbling blocks for thy neighbor, nor does it get in the way of thy neighbor seeing himself for who he or she really is in the eyesight of God.This love only focuses on worshiping Him... which then allows His love to flow through us to everyone else.
If we are not walking in this love... which is to worship Him in truth... then WHO or WHAT are we worshiping in spirit? This speaks to the motive of our heart. The heart of the soul is the MIND. To worship God in spirit means our minds are focused completely on Him. He in return renews our minds around things we did not know or understand (Romans 12:1-2)... then He gives us himself to be able to walk in Truth (demonstration of the word) because it first entered us in our worship (John 14:26).
The body of believers must get back to the basics before a person can do anything greater (Revelation 2:4). All of these divisions in the body and focus on who knows more than the other is causing major damage and pushing others away from God because those who say they know Him are not sticking with the basics. The basics are to get back to your first love. This requires a mind focused on Jesus and consumed every minute with prayer. Then we can worship him IN TRUTH which means to WALK OUT/DEMONSTRATE what we learned in worship. Then you can ask for anything and it will be given because our lives represent the truth. Once we begin to walk in agreement... then you will see some amazing things. In order to walk in agreement each one of us must humble ourselves and submit to God only. There is something we can learn from everyone who believes in Jesus. Be willing to learn instead of trying to point out what someone doesn't know. Be quick to listen and slow to speak. In the listening you will hear the heart of the person. If you are unwilling to listen to someone who says he loves Jesus but may be a novice, are you really walking in 1 Corinthians 13-4-8 love. Remember what verse 9 says. You can be the most knowledgeable, most gifted person, most intellectual person, most charismatic person,.. but if you don't have LOVE (1 COrinthians 13:4-7) you don't have anything (1 Corinthians 13:4:8)
