Watch The Tree Before You Eat It's Fruit
Observe the tree before you climb on its branches! If you want to know where a person really stands regarding you... watch and see what the person does when the person thinks you have nothing else to offer them. You will know that person by what they show you (fruit-action) when their minds believe you are no longer of benefit to them. When you cut off the perceived benefits... your circle will get small. That's the circle that is ride or die for you. The people who are there not because of what you can do for them... but because they truly care about the person you are. Your relationship with them is not transactional.
Matthew 7:16-20 (NKJV)
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
"6 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them."
