The Walking Dead - It's Not What You Think
Yes... we all have sinned. Yes.. we all still sin. Sin begins in the MIND. That's right.. if we have thought it even if we did not act on it.. we have SINNED. And we must always remember.. NOT ALL THOUGHTS we have are actually OUR THOUGHTS.
Isaiah 55:8 (NIV)
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.
So our ways, which are what we were born into and exposed to, are not the Lord's ways. What were we all born into? That's right... SIN. We were born into a world separated from God after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden found in Genesis 3. God separated Himself from us by removing Adam and Even from His presence and pushing us out to where we were formed from. A place separated from God is a place under the dominion of the enemy for a set time who is also separated from God. Those who follow the way of this world are being influenced by the wicked one who deceived mankind in the Garden. So when we were born into this world... we were born already separated from God (Born Into Sin). So our THOUGHTS are based on what we see... what is familiar too us. And if this is leading us... then our tuner will not be on things we can not see because we never knew that to begin with because of being born into sin. Therefore it is written in Romans 8:7 that this existence is CARNAL...what we have been born into. We can't understand the things of the spirit unless we are connected back to Him which must go through Jesus. Romans 8:7 says the Carnal Mind is Emnity Against God for it can not please God. That means if we use what we see to try and understand the things of God... we will fail every time. The enemy wants you to rely on this carnal (natural existence) as you attempt to understand God. The enemy knows as long as you do that... you won't understand the things of God nor will you really understand how he operates. You are Blind to his methods which are not uncommon to man. The eyes of some have not been opened to what is common to man. In order to understand God... you must have HIS spirit... otherwise you will not understand any things of the spirit because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14).
Do you want to know the difference between one who is genuinely following Jesus and one who is not sincere? The one who is genuine about following will do what is right (spirit led)... while the other one acts on the thought of sin and does what sin has prompted him to do (carnal led). The WORKS of unrighteousness are spelled out in the word (Galatians 5:19-21). The WORKS of Faith and obedience to Jesus are spelled out in in Galatians 5:22-26. Faith in Him produces FRUIT which are the WORKS of one who has genuinely had a heart change and put Jesus at the CENTER of your heart. The fruit was not produced on the person's own strength, but on the strength of the Holy Spirit. This is what GRACE is... Kingdom power. We have the power even though we did not deserve the power. It does for us what we could not do on our own. Grace is the POWER Jesus demonstrated and if we RECEIVED Him... that Grace would be given to us. Receiving Him gives us access to forgiveness.. John 15 spells it out related to the true vine and the fruit that is produced from that vine.
The actions let us know what IS LEADING. The ACTIONS are the WORKS of that which one is a SLAVE too in a realm he can not see. A Slave to righteousness get's one eternal life with He who IS RIGHTEOUS. A slave to unrighteousness get's one eternal death. This is the eternal separation from God which is death in the spirit. You can not be a living soul unless He BREATHES life into you. In order for Him to BREATHE life into us... we have to want to smell His breath. For His Breath resurrects us from the walking dead. The walking dead are truly dead souls in flesh. They are walking around but unless they are reborn in the spirit... they will die with the flesh.
