A Half Truth is a Complete Lie
A half truth is a full lie. No matter how much some of what is being said is truth, if we mix deception and untruth in with the truth.. the half truth becomes a full lie.
Now... the Bible and what is written in it is conservative in some aspects and liberal in other aspects. The Bible is RIGHTEOUS. In the righteousness of the Bible, you will see what God says about the least of these. His approach to the least of these could be viewed by one that has aligned with conservative ideology completely... as liberalism. But since he has aligned his soul with an entire political party... he will seem to be at odds with the Bible on other issues. This is what happens when one does not stand on Righteousness of the word of God which is divine, instead... standing on the righteousness of a political ideology which was formed by man through sinful nature.
The one who has aligned his entire identity behind liberal ideology will find himself at odds with the word of God on matters the word of God is more conservative in related to the Body of Christ setting itself apart from the world (those who reject Christ) as we work to convert people... not letting the thought process of worldly people (Galatians 5:19-21) corrupt a genuine Christ Follower's way of thinking. This is called sanctification... and God is serious about holiness. This is very conservative to the one who has completely embraced liberal ideology... and one will be at odds with the word of God on some matters that require a conservative approach as it is written by God himself.
Here's what I am trying to get many to see. You can not rest your entire soul on something that is man made. You must lay your hat on the word of God which is COMPLETELY RIGHTEOUS... not a political party which will do some right stuff, but embrace some wrong things under the ideology that you have now aligned with. It's either accept all within the party or be cast out. Many people are more worried about what others think, fearing being ostracized by their peers... so they will be an advocate for that which has half truths... which make it a complete lie. We must stand on what is righteous completely... which is the word of God and you will find yourself being conservative in some instances and liberal in other instances as the Bible completely leads you. You will find no party has it all right, because sinful people need the direction of that which is righteous completely. If the party platform is not the complete word of God without tampering with it... then we must ensure our platform is that word... and we are willing to call out situations when it is not lined up with it. When we fear the Lord, we won't worry about what others think. We will just do what is right even if we have to lose friends for standing on what is right according to the word as it is written.
So how do you move forward this election season? Pray without ceasing as you vote for whom you are led to vote for. Then make sure you pray without ceasing for any person who has been given the responsibility of leading. Pray instead of attack. That is what the word of God says. We must pray for our leaders. Have you been praying for your leaders? Or have you been attacking your leaders because they do not come from the political party you are completely sold out to?
