When Your Greatness Is Not Recognized
Jesus is greatness, but even his own didn't recognize his greatness. When you begin to be shaped into the image of Jesus, those closest to you may not recognize that greatness in you either. But He that is in you is greater than he, and those who are blinded by he, that is in the world. When you know who you are in Christ, you will have compassion for those who are not able to recognize what is standing right next to them. I watched the movie last night "90 minutes in Heaven," and at the very end the man shares with his spouse what happened to him after he was pronounced dead. He shared with her the 90 minutes he spent in heaven after being dead for 90 minutes. And he asked her if she thought he was crazy. And his wife's response was this; knowing what he had experienced gives her immense joy and understanding of the man God has placed her with. She did not see it as crazy or a phase.. she saw it as confirmation of the sure magnitude of who God placed her with. She recognized what was in Him and she understood her assignment.
The weight of heaven is flowing through some people in your presence. Do you recognize the Jesus in them. Or are you superficial? Superficial people miss what is right before them, as the Pharisees did with Jesus, because they are very carnal and because of that the spiritual growth is stunted. The only way to recognize who Jesus is begins when we come to understand that some of the things we think we know... we really don't have an understanding which only comes from God given to those who diligently seek Him. They can recognize the Jesus in you because they know what the real thing looks like. Whatever we put into our study of who Jesus is... is exactly what we will get out of it. The reason so many can not see what is leading you as you do it... is because they have yet to hear with clarity what type of doing the Kingdom of Heaven ignites in the mind of the one who fully embraces Jesus Christ!
