How to Deal with Church Hurt - Frustration - Church Hopping
When you are frustrated with someone in your local fellowship where the church gathers... and that frustration is boiling over to the point you have made a decision to leave the place you call church to go somewhere else... make sure you leave in order. In other words, go to your pastor, bishop, apostle, overseer or whomever is leading that place and talk about what is frustrating you. But if you leave without going to the leader...hopping from one place to the next... you will one day come to understand that the hopping is not because of the place you blame for leaving... it really is about the issues you may have but never allowed it to be brought to the light. Everything should always be brought to the light. I have come to understand that the light brings clarity to what is going on. In most cases when the problems we have are centered around selfishness and our behavior... we really do not want to bring it to the light. We will just murmur behind the scenes with others as that thing grows. If someone has done something wrong and it has offended us... we should always follow what is written in Matthew 18:14-17 first. So go to your pastor and give that person an understanding of why you are leaving. Give the pastor an opportunity to respond and release you. This is the right way to handle things.
