Are You Pure in Heart?
What is the motive behind the decisions you make? The true motive can only be seen by you and God. The motive behind anything determines what your heart is committed to. Only you and God know that. One who has a pure heart is making decisions with a genuine motive to please God only. Sometimes our decisions might be the wrong decision, but the motive was to please God. And in that decision made... we learn more about ourselves and our need to grow more in God. Each day brings a new test. Sometimes we will pass with flying colors and on other days we fail the test. In the failing of the test... that does not mean you have failed God... it simply means there is growth in you that must happen. And your willingness to recognize a need for spiritual growth opens the door for Christ to grow you. Yes... sometimes our decisions might not be the best decisions... but each of us must always examine the motive behind the decision. If our motive was to please God... Romans 8:28 will ALWAYS kick in. We are in a time now that true Christ Followers must worship God in Spirit and in Truth. The motive behind everything we do in the earth should be aligned with our worship in Spirit (a heart thing) and in truth (pleasing God in everything we do because of Who He is, not what He can do for us.)
