Nearly 7 years ago, I had a Damascus Road experience similar to the Apostle Paul as I experienced the presence of God and my life was radically transformed. So I know beyond a shadow of a doubt He is real. He has given me the eagle position to see which allows me to see across all boundaries of class, culture and ethnicity. I want each of you to know not to put your trust in a world system (Revelation 18). We live in it but are not supposed to be of it. When we are not of it, then we can completely focus on the Kingdom we are a part of. This goes to what you genuinely worship in your heart.

The only place there will be the kind of unity you seek is with a body of believers identified in Revelation 3:7-13. There will be unity among those who are authentic worshipers. The authenticity of our worship means Jesus Christ is at the center of our hearts and everything we do is to help someone see Him by being that light in a dark world. Don’t lose your saltiness. This Revelation 18 world wants you to look to it to supply all of your needs. If you fall in this trap, you will lose your saltiness and your light will be dimmed.
The presidential election is a moment in time where people’s hearts are being exposed. As a man who genuinely loves all people, I totally understand why there is an anxiety among many people who’s candidate did not win last night. What’s been front and center for them had more to do with the displays of such things found in Galatians 5:19-21. So it makes it hard for them to understand how a self proclaimed Christian would endorse such rhetoric which speaks to what is in a person’s heart. And if it was just a performance, then that would speak to manipulation which attempts to bring about confusion. For them, this is not of God.

Then you have those Christians who saw it differently. They saw the other candidate embracing things that are not of God found in Galatians 5:19-21 as well. And they looked at the loss of economic independence and position in the world as a dominating factor of why they overlooked the rhetoric to embrace a different point of view and candidate. During this moment in history, people chose to identify with the things they feared instead of the one who does not give us a spirit of fear as it is written.

Fear is what is dominating the minds of many of you today. For it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God does not give us a spirit of fear. So if God does not give us that spirit, then what does? If fear is dominating your mind, then what has your mind right now? The spirit behind fear which is the correct answer. Satan is that spirit and once he consumes a mind with fear, that will be the foundation for how you make decisions which will not be for your good. Romans 12:2 tells us to allow our minds to be renewed. This comes by way of the Holy Spirit. A renewed mind sees the game that is being played on civilization by the enemy. Your decisions will be sound as you stand on the word of God which is your protection from a world that wants to destroy you. It will destroy you if you move away from your real protection which is the word of God. The world will destroy you if you do not obey what God’s word says to do as Jesus demonstrated that for us when He walked among people. The word is the hedge of protection and while things seem certain for some and uncertain for others… you all have one thing in common… what appears to be certain for some and uncertain for others comes from leaning on our own understanding. This is about a lack of TRUST in what God’s word says about those who believe in His son.

If your candidate won last night, and you are a Christian… what will you display today? What does 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 say? Don’t be the tare many are making you out to be. Your demonstration will speak for you. And for those of you who’s candidate did not win… did you put your trust in a person to protect you? And now that the person is not there… do you feel exposed to wickedness? You see… this is where many have gone astray. God will remove anyone who you see as your savior instead of His son. And the more you are stretched… the more you will reach for the King of all Kings.

The only one who won last night is the one who truly identifies and has become one with that place described in Revelation 17 and 18. And if truth be told, that is a loss to the one who thinks he won. For it is written what is it for a person to gain the whole world but loses his soul in the process?

Christ Followers… God is calling you out of that system for many hardships will continue to come no matter who is in office. And that has been the case since the formation of what you see. Those who are covered by the blood of Jesus will find refuge where Christ is at the center of everything in spirit and truth...not just in mere words. Find that place today that provokes your mind to go deeper with God. The flesh has deceived you...and the flesh (feelings) won't protect you.
