Rejecting God's Conviction Leads To Destruction
Conviction from God that gets you to acknowledge error is also a guide to your life being blessed. But when you turn away from God's hand and reject the conviction of the Holy Spirit... you will be given over to a reprobate mind which will then delight in the errors of that person's ways.
Some think resisting the conviction of the Holy Spirit is true awakening. When in fact resisting His hand on your life pulls you deeper into darkness which mimics sight... but keeps you blind to the destruction that is coming your way.
When we move from under the covering of God, the enemy has all access to the individual to do as he pleases with him. Hosea 4:6-7 speaks to what happens when a person rejects the covering of God. When you are no longer under God's covering, you will be threatened by everyone you see as a threat to your way of life. And the fruit this will produce is the kind that God throws into the fire. For it is written that a good tree can not bear bad fruit, and a bad tree can not produce good fruit.
